About Tilquhillie Fine Foods
Tilquhillie Fine Food’s dedicated bakery has ten years experience specialising in safe oats for coeliacs. Tilquhillie can offer the highest standard of quality assurance and with so much experience and knowledge, a comprehensive personal customer service helpline. Apart from supplying the independent retail trade, Tilquhillie have a vast mail order service, some customers having been purchasing Tilquhillie Gluten Free Oats throughout the ten years.
Research around the world over the past 15 years has found that as long as it is guaranteed 100% Pure (i.e. no contamination from any other cereal grains), oats are safe for coeliacs. This means for the first time, coeliac consumers can include a high quality carbohydrate with high level of soluble fibre in their diet. 100% Pure Oats do not have the amino acid sequences which are the immune trigger for coeliac disease. Tilquhillie specialises in a single old variety of oat. Inspite of its lower yields we have found that even the most sensitive coeliacs seem to be able to tolerate this old variety with its soft creamy texture and taste. There may still be a very tiny percentage of coeliacs who cannot tolerate any oats in the same way some coeliac consumers can be intolerant to dairy products etc., but this is not a coeliac reaction. Tilquhillie market 100% Pure Oat Flakes and three varieties of gluten free muesli, in bright printed re-sealable pouches as 500g units. They can be supplied in shelf ready packs of five pouches. The ambient shelf life is between 9 and 12 months minimum. None of the cereals have any added sugars, dairy, starches or artificial preservatives or flavours. As well as breakfast cereals, the dedicated gluten free bakery manufactures steamed sponge and Christmas puddings, cakes, flapjacks, biscuits and stuffing mixes. All have won many food awards over the years and all are based on our 100% Pure Oats.
Everything produced in our dedicated gluten free unit elisa tests <3ppm (no gluten found) and are licensed by the Coeliac UK Society (CUK-M-017).
